Lifetime Member #1: James 'Jimmy' Smart
A man almost as eternal as SAMA itself, James is a fan of Gurren Lagann, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, and anything shounen. 

Joining SAMA committee in 2008 as Treasurer, he proceeded to stay on for another year as Treasurer in 2009. 

After which, he became the president of SAMA's president for another two year period from 2010-2012. 

Legends say that despite his lifetime membership, every year he still comes during O-week to buy membership .

A man of mystery, he has been an important part of SAMA longer than any one. 
Lifetime Member #2: Phyllis Pan
One of the most experienced and professional committee members SAMA has ever seen, Phyllis appreciates Bleach, Black Butler, Tatami Galaxy and Pokemon! 

She joined SAMA committee in her first year as Treasurer in 2013 and stayed for another year until 2015. 

She returned in a surprise move to everyone including herself, in 2016 she self-nominated at the AGM after being reminded of how wonderful SAMA committee can be. 

She has been the linchpin of SAMA, always keeping committee on track with her expertise in club and financial matters. 

Although her persona may be intimidating at times, she has a soft spot for small animals, anything cute and the club she's dedicated so much effort into.

Two things are constant with Phyllis, she'll always be playing Pokemon Go and she'll always be greatly missed on committee <3 
Lifetime Member #3: Tony Wu
An always friendly committee member who became a second mascot to SAMA, Tony likes Sword Art Online (we try not to judge) and Isekai anime. 

Tony joined first joined committee as as Treasurer in 2015, became Secretary on the next committee and for his final year of committee, returned to being Treasurer. He excels in excel, can count money when it counts and meets deadlines, even if it kills him.

As his uplifting, knowledgeable and enduring nature dictates, he has done many unexpected things for SAMA members' entertainment, such as: being the recipient of kabedons, dressing up as a cat-maid and investing all his money into bit-coin.

Tony always puts members first, and has put many years into SAMA, a club he loves and helped make a more welcoming and social place.
Lifetime Member #4: Liam Perera
A big fan of Dragon Ball Z, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Persona, Liam was the 2016 - 2017 committee Media Manager and then became the 2017 - 2018 Vice President. He also joined the C&S executive committee and you could often find him in the C&S office making personalised games for the SAMA.

Liam was the mind behind the SAMA meet ups and the big screenings and always tried to push for more club exposure. During class and at 2AM may not be the best times to do committee work but that's often when he got it done!

He has a big dedication to the club and that's what he'll be remembered for.
Lifetime Member #5: ZJ Cao
Probably the biggest Miku fan to grace Monash University, ZJ blessed SAMA with his presence as soon as he stepped foot on campus as a first year. He took on the position of Secretary in 2019-2020 then was President for two terms in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.

During his term, he carried the club through the tumultous times of the pandemic where he continued to lead the club through its online arc with memorable events including SAMA Quest, numerous streams and pulling an all nighter to save trivia night. He was also instrumental in SAMA's return to in person events where the club returned to its former glory with ZJ at the helm.

ZJ managed to capture the admiration and affection of the members throughout his time. He made every member new and old feel welcome and many were lucky to call him his friend. The members could see the passion and love ZJ had for the club that pushed him to work tirelessly to make the club succeed and everyone loved him for it.
